IPROCEL successfully completes EPC works for the Yolanda 69/34.5 kV Substation in Guatemala
IPROCEL has successfully completed the engineering, construction and commissioning of the Yolanda 69/34.5 kV - 60/70 MVA substation, located in the department of Escuintla (Guatemala) and promoted by ECOENER. This facility will enable the evacuation of the energy generated by a 73.7 MWp / 61 MWac solar farm to the national grid, managed by TRELEC - EPM Guatemala, providing clean energy to around 35,000 homes.
The execution of the project has included a broad technical scope under EPC modality, including the detailed engineering of the substation and associated systems, the supply of main equipment (medium voltage switchgear, power switches, protection and control systems, auxiliary equipment), as well as the electromechanical assembly, wiring, FAT and SAT tests, coordination of protections and verification of the automation system (SAS).
With this action, IPROCEL consolidates its presence in Latin America, where it has developed numerous projects in the field of power generation and transmission. The completion of the Yolanda Substation represents a new step in the company's commitment to technical excellence, sustainability and the promotion of energy transition in the region.
